Game Specific Turn Drill
- Minimum drill Requirements
A ball, some cones or small objects and a way to rebound the ball or training partner.
- Recommended positions
All players, but especially midfielders and more attacking players.
- Purpose
Turning with the ball is essential for basically all players. But to stand out especially as a midfielder or more offensive player being able to turn with the ball in tight spaces and players pressing, is very important. It is sometimes one of the difference makers in a game. But if we wanna be able to perform a great turn with the ball it’s important when and how to turn. How is this done then?…. With orientation. Therefore in this drill one of the big focuses is to turn your head before touching the ball. Try to look behind you at least once before every turn you perform. This will also help to create a habit that will leave huge benefits in a real game.
